Holidays, time off and travel: how the calendar survives
You are travelling for two weeks. The apparent choice is between working on holiday and vanishing from your profile. There is a third, and it is decided before you leave.
What to prepare beforehand
One afternoon before leaving covers the two weeks. And it does not need to be new content: it is the perfect moment for the posts with no date inside, and for repeating what worked three months ago.
Halve the frequency while you are away. Nobody notices, and you do not come back with a production debt.
What works well scheduled
Everything that stays true three weeks from now.
- Answers to questions: they never age.
- Old work that was never published.
- How to buy, and your ordering rules.
- Behind the scenes filmed earlier, with no reference to the day.
Announce the schedule, once
If the business pauses, that is useful information and deserves a clear post: until when orders are accepted, when you are back, and what happens to existing orders. One post, pinned, not a daily reminder.
And set your DM auto-reply to say the same. Half the messages in those weeks are about exactly that.
Do not publish the trip if the account is the business
It is not a moral rule, it is coherence: people followed you for what you do. Two weeks of beach photos on a bakery account confuse, and some people unfollow thinking they got the wrong account.
A mention in stories is enough and even builds closeness. The feed stays with the work.
Having two weeks written in advance is exactly the kind of thing that lets an account survive the month you could not look at it.
